Iman Abdulmajid who was born in 1955 is known all across the globe as a supermodel and as an owner of a cosmetic brand. While studying in a college, she was noticed by a famous photographer and that’s exactly how her career in a show business has started. Iman’s mother, Marian Abdulmajid Baadi who had Somalis roots was an activist, fighting for the independence of her country. She worked in a hospital as a gynecologist. Mariam was the most loving and caring mom in the whole world. That’s why it was so hard for Iman to lose her just a few months after the death of her husband. The celebrity’s father Mohamed Abdulmajid was a diplomat in Tanzania. Due to this fact, he was very often away. The famous model has 4 siblings. Nadia Abdulmajid is the younger sister who lives and works in the US as a hairstylist. Another younger sister is named Idil Abdulmajid and she also lives in America, state Virginia. Feisa and Elias Abdulmajid are the two brothers to a well-known model. Unfortunately, no information is known about them. Iman’s first husband was a man from Somali whom she divorced because she wanted to chase modeling career in the USA. Having moved to a new country, she got acquainted with Spencer Haywood who was a basketball player at that time. Both immediately fell in love and in 1977 got married. Just a year after this event, their first kid was delivered. The couple’s marriage lasted only one year. In 1992, the beauty married a famous British singer, David Bowie and was happily living with him until his death in 2016. The couple produced a daughter and both were very excited being parents. Bowie died at the age of 69 because of liver cancer. This was a huge tragedy not only to Iman but also to the whole world as his music influenced on millions of people. Iman is a mother of 2 kids. Zulekha who was born in 1978 and is a common child with Haywood. Despite being a child of a supermodel and a basketball player, she wasn’t that lucky with the genes. Half of her life she suffered from obesity and had gastric bypass surgery along with diets. After that she started feeling more comfortable with own body and in 2016 married Jason Young. Daughter with David Bowie, Alexandria was delivered in 2000 and is thought to be a miracle baby as the couple couldn’t conceive for many years. They were even thinking of adopting a kid and IVF. She has always being a muse to her father and due to her appearance in his life, he gave up smoking and drinking.
